1. How do I use my Invitation Platinum Card?
Simply produce your card in one of our featured venues, and ask a member of staff!
For restaurants, we do recommend that you book in advance and state that you are an 'Invitation Platinum Member' when booking, when you arrive at the restaurant and again when you ask for the bill, to avoid any confusion.
Please check the current offers on your card wallet or the website before you go, and remember if you've already paid it will be too late!
2. How is Invitation Platinum membership priced and how am I billed?
Subscription to Invitation Platinum membership is charged annually. If you are an Invitation Book member, you will be entitled to a special "upgrade price" of £14.99, otherwise membership is currently priced at £29.99
3. If I join on a promotional deal, does this deal continue in my second year of membership?
No - but you will be rewarded for your loyalty in continuing for a second etc year, and you will always be able to benefit from our one-off yearly payment offers.
4. How do I cancel my subscription?
Your membership lasts for a year from the date you purchase your card. Once your card expires, it is completely up to you whether you renew your membership.
5. What if I lose my card?
Unfortunately, there is a £15 cost to replace your membership card if you lose it.
6. How do I receive the benefits listed on the website?
By simply flashing your card in the participating venue, either when you enter or before you pay your bill. It is always best to let the participating venue know you are a Invitation Platinum membership from the moment you enter, as the exclusive treatment being offered at that venue may commence from the moment you walk through the door!
7. What if I'm a member but I forget to bring my card to one of your participating venues?
It is completely at the discretion of each venue as to whether they provide you with Invitation Platinum membership benefits. We have expressly said to each venue that in these circumstances we would recommend that they do not provide you with your member benefits - simply because it is difficult to verify your membership at short notice.

1. Why did we set up Invitation Platinum membership?
We set up Invitation Platinum membership because we were surprised at the number of people we spoke to who were unaware of some of the best drinking and dining venues in Bristol and Bath. We felt we needed to provide individuals with a means of discovering information about the very best establishments in their city and, to make our members’ experiences all the more satisfying in these venues, we thought they should receive special offers and privileges in the venues as well. Each venue offers something unique: for instance, we have selected what we consider to be the finest example of each cuisine in the restaurants section, and we present a diverse range of drinking establishments in the bars section – from bars, to pubs, to members' clubs, to nightclubs – we have got it all covered! We then decided that these privileges should extend also to lifestyle venues, which comprise everything from a café to a gym to a clothes shop – in short, we feature any venue that we consider offers a distinct, high-quality service. We also consider that the need we satisfy also extends to organising corporate entertainment, making it more enjoyable and also more affordable to take a client out for lunch or organize a high-quality staff party, for instance.
2. Why should I spend money on Invitation Platinum membership - How can I save money and receive exclusive treatment with Invitation Platinum membership?
By viewing our membership page and telling us a little bit about yourself, we can demonstrate just how much you can save. If you visit any of the Invitation Platinum membership establishments once a week, you will automatically start saving money: we have negotiated our offers to try to ensure that the discounts received on one visit per week to any of the featured venues will cover the monthly membership fee, and much more. £2.50 per week can provide you with circa £50 worth of discounts – the more you use your card, the more you save!
3. How can Invitation Platinum membership give an independent unbiased view if it is featuring venues on its site?
Members of the Invitation Platinum membership team (or their friends – secretly, having been requested by Invitation Platinum membership to do so) have eaten, had drinks or tested out the service in every venue before inviting them to become part of Invitation Platinum. In the future, we may be offered freebies to sample a particular venue, however, this in no way ensures inclusion on Invitation Platinum and we are committed to an independent editorial policy.
4. Will the list of participating establishments on Invitation Platinum membership ever change?
Of course – for Invitation Platinum membership, quality control is paramount, and our members’ feedback and suggestions are vital. We encourage our members to praise the current Chic venues, recommend other favourite venues to come on board, or bring it to our attention if a venue is not performing to its full potential.
5. Is what you are offering now what I will always receive as a member of Invitation Platinum membership?
No, we will continually be updating, in particular, the lifestyle participating venues, and the bars and restaurants section may change if a particular restaurant or bar appears on the scene or if a current venue does not continue to meet our criteria.
6. Is Invitation Platinum membership an exclusive service ie. can my application be refused?
No, membership is open to anybody.
7. Is Invitation Platinum membership a loyalty based business?
No, but the more you flash your card at places, the better the deal we can negotiate with our venues.
8. Is Invitation Platinum membership male or female orientated?
Both! We have negotiated offers to cater for all tastes, male – female, young – old, beer drinker – wine connoisseur: for all persuasions and type of people, we have something inside to interest you we believe.
