There are not many people who can say they have provided food for Her Majesty the Queen but at the Christmas party in Windsor Castle 2005, they were all tucking into Pieminister pies (and mash we assume!) Pieminister pies have become to Bristol like kilts are to Scotland and they are a big favourite of ours. We particulary like the adventurous combinations of tastes they use as well as the fact that you can have sweet or savoury. You can buy the pies in the shop on Stokes Croft road (hot or cold) or in various pubs around the town (including Amoeba). Every pie is hand made by Jon and Tristan the owners of Pieminister and this really is a family business with Jon marrying Tristan's sister so if anyone says you cannot have a fairytale ending while eating a pie, they are wrong ! If you have not already tried one of these pies we suggest you get in your car and go ! One last thing.. pie parties may well be on the agenda this year !
