With consistently good service and food, Moreish should be a regular date in your gastronomic diary. And with tasteful surroundings, boasting high-backed leather dining chairs and matching dark wood tables, it is also a very comfortable experience. Since opening two years ago, owner Tim Moores and his team have made this one of Bristol's favourite spots with a menu offering a fine selection of locally-sourced, fresh ingredients encompassing a good range of tastes and textures. For starters try the chicken liver and foie gras parfait with pickles and red onion marmalade or for mains sample the likes of roast chicken breast with Parmesan and thyme polenta cake; or seared trout steak on olive mash and pak choi with sweet chilli and lime dressing. There is an excellent selection of well-chosen, good value wines to complement your meal or simply for quaffing on the decked alfresco area. With atmosphere, food and excellent service to boot, Moreish remains a top-class but informal neighbourhood eatery.
