Tucked away in the lovely residential area just off the Chandos Road, The Kenny Arms is a perfect example of your old local pub turned gastro pub. Not far cry from it's cousin, The Albion, in taste and style, The Kenny would fit nicely into Clifton Village...and you certainly won't find any chrome bar tops here, just a homely combination of white-washed walls, old framed pictures and lots of wood furnishings. The menu offers mostly traditional dishes, from breakfast through to dinner, with a number of delightful exceptions popping up on the daily changing menus, such as the garlic snails we had the last time we were there. The upstairs dining room is suitably laid up if you want to make it a more formal affair, and the Sunday quiz is a real challenge provided you don't use your mobile phone! Ideal for relaxing with a drink and some friends, or perhaps the sunday papers, but it is the food that everyone will be talking about!
