Hotel du Vin Bistro has been one of our favourite restaurants for years so we are particularly delighted to welcome it to Invitation Platinum. The building is 'The Sugar House'- a collection of listed, restored warehouses from the 1700s. We have been here for relaxing suppers with friends, romantic celebration dinners a deux and business lunches with colleagues and clients and, no matter what the occasion, it has always somehow managed to be 'just right'. Its decor and atmosphere give it that authentic bistro feel ! It is relaxed and yet elegant; buzzy but not noisy; the waiters attentive and knowledgable without being overbearing or pretentious. The food itself is excellent- blending classic European with the contemporary; always fresh and beautifully presented.The wine and spirit list is exceptional and how nice to get expert guidance from staff who 'know their stuff' yet are never patronising.
